We must always be mindful of other peoples feelings. Each person looks at the world differently. I was asked recently, “What makes your life worth living?” For me its always about family. Watching my child progress and enjoying my grandchildren. What makes your life worth living? cont’d Wonderdee.com

I am Delores N. Holmes, the inventor of the Keyring Reader (aka the Vision Buddy). I am a middle aged registered nurse. I have been nearsighted since my teens years and have required glasses for seeing distance. When I was young my eyes would accommodate for both near and far through single vision lenses. When I approached forty years old, I began to notice that when wearing my glasses my near vision was no longer clear. I had to remove my glasses to see near objects. The same thing happens to people with normal vision except that they are not looking through lenses when they experience difficulty seeing near. The condition is called presbyopia and it affects everyone.

A few years ago I decided to wear contact lenses for distance viewing. I knew that I would need reading glasses superimposed over my contacts to see the near. I didn’t realize how devastated I would feel unable to see the near while wearing my contacts. I could not even see the strength on the reading glasses I attempted to purchase!!!

That night I was thinking about how wonderful it was to see the distance without glasses but how awful no longer to easily see the near. Suddenly, I thought about the discount cards we attach to our key rings for use at the super market. I thought that if I had only one reading glass lens, protectively housed and permanently attached to my key ring, I would have full field vision and would never have this horrible on the spot reading problem again. Hence, the birth of the Keyring Reader.

With the assistance of my nephew, Clarence Wooten, Jr., we opened a company, KeyVision LLC to developed the product. Our mini folding reading glasses are integrally housed and permanently attached to your key ring. The lenses are polycarbonate, optical quality and while the Keyring Readers are feather weight, they are incredibly sturdy. We market, manufacture and sell the product.
